Five methods to spice up revision in the English classroom | Nic

It’s that time of year when we’re looking for ideas to take the tedium out of revision. Here are five quick ideas you can use to do just that!

 
Response cards

Students hold up cards (yes / no or true / false) to show their thinking. Use as a starter, plenary or springboard for discussion.

 
Circles

Split the class in half. One half become the outside of the circle, the others the inside. Swap at intervals for new partners.

 
Musical movement

Students should move around the classroom to the music and pair up when it stops. Repeat for a new partner to develop ideas. I have an…
